RailMac 15T Battery Locomotive

The 15T Battery Locomotive features a welded – steel frame suspended by leaf springs or rubber studs on grease – bearing seats with tapered roller bearings. It uses an electronic speed controller for stepless regulation, with AC converters transforming battery DC to AC to drive dual 30kW AC motors (brushless, low – wear). Equipped with pneumatic brakes (plus manual stop brake), a sanding system, and a dual – cab for good visibility, it supports 600/762/900mm track gauges. With speed regulation via Resistance/IGBT or AC Converter, and mechanical/air/electric braking, its integrated system enables real – time monitoring. Powered by a 128 – cell anti – acid battery, it’s ideal for shunting and short – distance freight in coal, metallurgy and petrochemical sectors.

  • The locomotive features an ultra-high-capacity battery system comprising 128 series-connected lead-acid cells housed in a heavy-duty steel compartment with specialized anti-acid lining, delivering a 256V power supply with an impressive 620Ah capacity (5-hour rating), ensuring extended operational endurance for continuous heavy-load applications while providing maximum protection against corrosive damage in harsh mining and industrial environments.

  • Equipped with powerful 30kW-2 electric motors and offering both traditional DC with resistance/IGBT control and modern 3-phase AC motor with converter options, the locomotive delivers exceptional traction performance (up to 39M maximum traction force) while eliminating carbon brushes and other wear-prone components in AC configurations through sophisticated frequency conversion technology that enables precise stepless speed control at 9.6 km/h operational speeds.

  • Featuring standardized heavy-duty dimensions (5200×1500×1920mm) with 1400mm wheelbase and 15m turning radius, along with three track gauge options (600/762/900mm), these locomotives are specifically engineered for demanding material transport applications while maintaining excellent maneuverability for their class, making them ideal for large-scale mining operations, heavy industrial complexes, and major tunneling projects.
