RailMac 8T Battery Locomotive
The 8T Battery Locomotive welded – steel frames, suspended via leaf springs or rubber studs. They utilize electronic speed controllers; paired with AC converters, they convert the battery’s DC power to AC for precise motor speed adjustment. Featuring 3 – phase AC motors, they do away with wear – prone components like carbon brushes, ensuring stability and reliability. Equipped with pneumatic (or mechanical) sanding devices, they offer flexible braking modes, including pure mechanical braking and combined mechanical – electric braking. Compatible with multiple track gauges, they efficiently handle shunting and short – distance freight tasks in coal, metallurgy and other scenarios. The whole – vehicle drive system enables real – time operation status monitoring, guaranteeing smooth operations.
The company provides customers with comprehensive life cycle services, from design to power system supply, installation and commissioning, to after-sales service, training, and spare parts supply, as well as troubleshooting and overhaul technical support. This full range of services ensures that customer equipment maintains high reliability and long-term operating efficiency during use.
We provide full life cycle services for all customers, from design to power system supply, from installation to commissioning, from after-sales service training to spare parts supply, from troubleshooting to overhaul technical support.
Advantages of 8T Battery Locomotive
-
The locomotive features a heavy-duty steel battery compartment with specialized anti-acid lining that securely houses 55 to 72 series-connected lead-acid batteries, delivering multiple voltage options from 110V to 144V DC with capacities of either 370Ah or 440Ah, ensuring extended operation periods while protecting critical components from corrosive damage in harsh industrial environments.
-
With both traditional DC (11kW-2) and modern 3-phase AC motor (15kW-2) options available, coupled with either resistance, IGBT or AC converter speed regulation systems, these locomotives provide flexible power solutions that eliminate carbon brushes and other quick-wear parts in AC configurations while offering stepless electronic speed control through sophisticated frequency conversion technology for smooth, efficient operation.
-
Built on a welded steel frame with either leaf spring or rubber stud suspension systems mounted on tapered roller bearings, the locomotive combines spring-dampened motor suspension with dual shock-absorbing buffers to create a robust platform capable of handling 8-ton adhesive weights while maintaining stability during high-traction operations that generate up to 20.8 kN maximum pulling force.
