The RailMac 25T lithium battery locomotive, with a self-weight of 25 T, adopts lithium battery as power source. Equipped with a Motor Power of 75 KW*2, it also features an Hourly Traction of 65 kN and a Maximum Traction of 74 kN. Lithium batteries have the characteristics of high energy density, high conversion efficiency, no memory effect, no charge-discharge delay, low self-discharge rate, and wide operating temperature range. In particular, lithium iron phosphate batteries have the advantages of non-toxic, non-polluting, good safety performance, long life and wide sources of raw materials, and long life. Its application on locomotives effectively solves the lead-acid battery problems of requiring frequent maintenance, frequent charging and insufficient cruising range in long tunnels.
